3 Uncommon Reasons Why You Should Have a Candle in Your Home
Share
As a candle maker I could name a dozen reasons why it’s nice to have candles at your home but apart from the obvious “they smell good” they also have a lot of positive effects on you (and they can be medically proven)
1) The Calming Effect Candles Have
Did you know that some scents can even help lower blood pressure and heart rate and change brain activity?
In this day and age most of us are rushing to get somewhere or spend endless hours starring at screens (you do this exact moment too but thank you for using the time to read this!) and studies show that especially social media is closely linked to mental health disorders.
Candles are a great way to relax your mind subconsciously so light up your favorite one when you feel stressed or restless!
2) Improving Sleep
By lighting up a candle in your bedroom in the evening and reducing as much artificial light as possible your mind will be calmer and you heart will thank you too.
Not only will it reduce the blue light which is known to be a factor of obesity and sleep deprivation, but it also sets the tone for a calmer environment, easing you into a good nights sleep.
3) Increased Creativity & Positive view on life
Candles can help to create a greater focus (mainly connected to scents like peppermint or lavender) and bring relaxation which in return can boost creativity.
Creativity in return is linked to feeling more positive overall meaning it improves your quality of life.
